Just To Be Human
What do you do when it all crashes down?
Do you accept defeat?
Or armour up for battle?
Is there more in this life than just black and white?
Than pain or joy, sorrow or triumph?
What about the middle ground?
The place we all must stand,
A choice to go either up or down.
Is all that I demand!
It seems as though the floor is all too unsolid,
That crashing below the boards above,
Is possible even at rock bottom,
To find a way up,
To find a way out,
Need only the smallest glimmer
Of light, of hope to stand and shout,
This crashing is all but over,
Rise above the defeat sounds so easy in fact,
But in theory, it is much harder,
To lose and to gain,
It’s all part of the game,
We all play just to be HUMAN.
